I’ve tried hard over the years to like digital pens.

For the most part I’ve failed at it. I really like using them as pointing devices, but less so for drawing and writing.

I don’t expect or want to them to be like a real pencil or pen. Because well I have better of both close by at all times.

But recently I have tried more to write with my Apple Pencils on my iPads; I have a 2021 iPad Pro and the most recent iPad mini.

It doesn’t feel like using a regular pen or pencil no matter what people tell you. But if you do a bit of it each day or a while it becomes more natural. And the good modern ones are so much better than the old ones or writing with a finger or something like that.

I’ll probably look into something like the Remarkable at some point too.

None of this will ever replace my real pens though.
